The need for information exchange in the form of documents/ images is well understood and facilitated on the Colayer collaboration platform. This module provides an overview of the Sems that help in sharing documents and images among the users on the layer.

The Image Sem specifically caters to the image sharing needs of the users; users can exchange images on the layer by using the ‘Image’ Sem. The image can be uploaded in the colayer standard size format by using the 'Image' Sem.

Fields:
Title - The title of the Image that has to be uploaded.
Upload Image - The Browse functionality through which the user can select the appropriate image that has to be uploaded.
Description - A brief description about the image that is uploaded.

How to upload an 'Image' Sem:
Step 1: Click the desired space to get the shuttle.
Step 2: Click the shuttle link to get the expanded shuttle.
Step 3: Click the '[+]' link that appears next to the 'File' link on the expanded shuttle interface. Select the 'Image' link from the list of Sems displayed. You will get a form with the above-mentioned fields.
Step 4: Provide the details in the respective fields.
Step 5: Click the 'submit' button to submit the form.

The desired Image Sem appears in context and on the ‘Times®’ page as well. Click the Image to view it in its original/enlarged form.

The Small Image Sem enables the users to upload images in a small size (thumbnail view) on the layer. Small images are specifically used in case a number of images have to be uploaded within a community space.

How to upload a ' Small Image' Sem:
Step 1:Click the desired space to get the shuttle.
Step 2:Click the shuttle link to get the expanded shuttle.
Step 3:Click the '[+]' link that appears beside the 'File' link on the expanded shuttle interface. Type 'Small Image' in the input field and hit 'Go'. You will get a form with the fields mentioned above.
Step 4:Provide the details in the respective fields.
Step 5:Click the 'submit' button to submit the form.

The desired Image Sem appears in context and on the Times® page as well. Click the Image to view it in its original form. Note that, the original image opens in a new window.
