The Colayer platform consists of four sub-modules that are fully compatible, integrative and scalable. Click on the direct product links to find out more:
The Colayer platform enables a complete and comprehensive collaborative environment that serves the purpose of integrating the diverse functional units and knowledge worker teams of an enterprise on to a central platform. The Colayer platform creates a virtual interpretation of the physical work environments prevailing within enterprises, thus enabling people from dispersed geographical frontiers and cross functional domains to effectively collaborate with each other. The Colayer platform caters to all the collaboration and communication needs of an enterprise through a wide range of interactive tools.
The Colayer platform enables context driven communication. Real life communication happens within its natural form, always pointing to a specific context in the background. Context plays a pivotal role in information/knowledge retrieval from a piece of data or an ongoing conversation. Contextual communication is also instrumental in building knowledge and information reservoirs on the platform.
Travel to the Information Source
Conventionally, it's the data that travels to individuals. In the Colayer environment, however, data seekers travel to the very source of information. Consequently, people are not bound by processes and are free to go anywhere in a discussion or any other content to comment on it, or start a new discussion around it. This is possible with an innovative tool called the 'The Idea Weaverâ„¢ Shuttle'. The shuttle lets you travel anywhere in a community and add any object in context to the point of reference. The Colayer platform provides the desired space for enabling all the modes and possibilities of communication.
Comties
Comty means Community. A Comty is the cyber-realization of the fact that human beings work in groups. People work together on the platform by constantly interacting with each other, sharing knowledge and co-creating. All these activities take place within specific Comties defined for specific purposes. The Comties give a structure to the platform and define the various working zones on the layer from each other.
